And while I love popular juggernauts in the genre like <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nintendolife.com\/games\/wii\/guitar_hero_5\">Guitar Hero<\/a>, I\u2019ll always prefer something with more originality than just simply holding down a button, such as <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nintendolife.com\/games\/3ds\/theatrhythm_final_fantasy_curtain_call\">Final Fantasy Theatrhythm<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Cue <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nintendolife.com\/games\/nintendo-switch\/patapon_1plus2_replay\">Patapon<\/a>, a quirky blend of rhythm and strategy originality released exclusively on Sony\u2019s PSP and now out on other platforms thanks to Bandai Namco. You play as a god to the charming Smurf-esque creatures and use drums to direct them during missions. Your controller buttons correspond to a rhythmic phrase. Want them to move forward? That\u2019s easy! <em>Pata pata pata pon!<\/em> Need to attack? No problem; just hit \u2018em with a <em>pon pon pata pon<\/em> combo.
